Claire, Anabel, and Bob came up Friday afternoon. We were waiting for them. The following delicious meals were eaten: delicious pasta, delicious, stir-fry, delicious tacos, delicious fruit salad, and delicious blueberry and strawberry and banana pancakes with local maple syrup. We also had some very delicious drinks. The weather was lovely, we sunbathed and Claire and I made it in the water. Ferndawg has been holding up her end of the bargain and swimming every day. Brandon has been working hard on LDB's second Lair and a hut for spiritual journeys.

Brandon saw a horse running free on the dirt road on the way into town. He didn't get why there was a horse running free without anybody around until he realized it was a MOOOSSSSEEE. A girly one without horns. Beats the three deer we saw on the way to get ice cream the night before. Oh, and yesterday there was this big bald eagle, you know, America Bird, flying all over the lake. Then, while Brandon and Bob went to the beaver damn Ferndawg showed up with a deer. Only the end half of it, just some hooves and bones. I tied it to a try and got all excited for Ferndawg. But Brandon didn't notice it forever until I showed him. It looked like a storm was moving in, but it rolled right past. I read my book and we had a bonfire with morning glories.

The sunsets have been lovely so far, and the breeze has kept the bugs down. I've cleared a little patch to grow a herb garden in, I'm gonna work on it some more today. The cabin is dark, I forgot about this when I thought about all the crafting I wanted to do up here. Right now the porch is still a bit cold to be working on stuff all day, its warmest laying in the sun.

OH NO! The cover to the tube is ripped to shreds. We took the boat out, though, it was SWEET.

Yesterday we went out to Monson and then headed to Packard's Landing to hike to the Ice Caves. The hike was steeper than I remembered so we didn't do the whole thing. But we ate a sandwich the size of a baby and I collected lots of cool specimens and it is a very different forest so it was cool to explore a bit.
